A writer and filmmaker, Lewis Manalo completed his feature-length documentary Blood and Earth in 2006, and his short “The Unlikely Mind of Howard Nimh” won the Neo Sci-Fi Award at the 2012 ConCarolinas Short Film Festival. From 2013 to 2015 Lewis worked as a producer on the forthcoming film Amazonia, a documentary about communities living in the Amazon River Basin.
Lewis’ first novel, The Sins of Swann Mercury was published in 2007. He has written for Publishing Perspectives, Real Travel Magazine, and PBS.org, and his short fiction has appeared in Guernica Magazine and other online publications. Most recently, he has been working in video games, contributing writing to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
