Classic Cinema: DARK STAR

June 4, 2013 § Leave a comment

John Carpenter’s first film Dark Star is a masterpiece of comic science fiction.  Okay, maybe not a masterpiece, but it’s a cult film and one of my all time favorites.  Originally shot as a student film, Dark Star features some of the hairiest astronauts I’ve ever seen.  (And I admit it, I ripped off the talking bomb idea for my novel The Sins of Swann Mercury.)

Do yourself a favor and watch it!  You can check it out for free on amctv.com.
