Sci-(Non)Fi: Invisibility for Everyone!

Invisibility cloaks ain’t just for Harry Potter anymore!  According to Phys.org, scientists at Duke have determined that all you really need for personal invisibility is a 3-D printer.  Yaroslav Urzhumov, assistant research professor in electrical and computer engineering at Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering, says:

“…anyone who can spend a couple thousand dollars on a non-industry grade 3-D printer can literally make a plastic cloak overnight…  Computer simulations make me believe that it is possible to create a… polymer-based cloaking layer as thin as one inch wrapped around a massive object several meters in diameter.”
