METAMORPHOSIS
Think waking up for work is hard? Try waking up a zombie. When Gregor Samsa wakes up one morning transformed into a flesh-eating ghoul, his family isn’t sure what to do. Sure, his teenage sister can lure men into the house for Gregor to eat, but if Gregor was the only one with the job, how are they going to pay the rent?
Adapted from The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Metamorphosis is an oddball horror film about how suburban families cope with their sons transforming into monsters.
SLICE GIRLS
VIOLENCE! DRAMA! MONSTERS! SCHOOLGIRLS! Slice Girls is an action-horror film about four schoolgirls on a trip to Japan who must use their martial arts skills to fight off a menacing horde of undead ninjas. Originally written for a no-budget production, Slice Girls is just what the grindhouse ordered.
BOHICA
Disappointed with the recent depictions of war on film, we at Princess Revolver are developing BOHICA, an anti-war-film film about four American soldiers stranded on a hilltop in Afghanistan.
Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and informed by writer-director Lewis Manalo’s experiences as a soldier in Afghanistan, BOHICA is an irreverent, hilarious, and violent look at contemporary war. BOHICA is not a film against war, but against war films. Most of the recent films about America’s recent conflicts, no matter how well made, have failed to capture the inglorious and often silly experience of war, instead substituting the noble sentiments that you can only find in retrospect.
